Banana Manna

This tasty treat can be enjoyed at any point in the day! Personally, I enjoy having this beverage at breakfast time. I leave my apartment at 7:30 A.M. to make it to my 8 o-clock class so I do my prep the night before since I am always on the go. I begin by removing the container from the base of the blender and adding all of the ingredients except for the water. Once that is done I put the container in the fridge overnight. Make sure that the bananas are frozen enough so that they will still be slightly frozen the next morning. The next morning I add the water and blend until all of the ingredients are creamy and smooth.


Yields 2 servings

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2/3 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons raw tahini
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey or agave nectar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Dash of ground cinnamon
